Hi, I'm Galen founder of Rural Roots Land LLC. At Rural Roots Land LLC, my journey has been shaped by a deep connection to rural land. After years in a rewarding corporate technical career, I felt drawn back to my roots and a life closer to land, much like my upbringing in rural Kentucky.
When I set out to find my piece of remote, undeveloped land for recreation, agriculture, and stewardship, I quickly discovered how challenging the process could be. Buyer agents were often reluctant to assist with rural properties, and seller agents rarely followed up—mainly because undeveloped land brings lower commissions and is often deprioritized in traditional real estate practices.
With persistence, I eventually found the right property for my family in Western North Carolina—a place we now preserve, protect, and enjoy and which we will pass on as a legacy. This experience revealed to me the extent to which rural land buyers and sellers are underserved and rural land is misunderstood.
That’s why I founded Rural Roots Land LLC:
